Cashmere baby hat

A friend of twenty years is expecting a baby, so of course the minute I heard the news, I started thinking of a knitted gift. This is the finished baby hat.

It is made of a cashmere/merino/acrylic blend and hand washable. It's a supersoft Italian yarn, RY Classic Yarn, Cashsoft 4 ply. I highly recommend this yarn for it's soft feel.

I used a easy ans quick pattern form Yankee Knitter Designs. It's the Roll Watch Cap. It only took a few days of subway rides and after dinner TV to complete.

Please note the wonderful pompom on the top. It is the first pompom I made using my new fangled pompom makers. More on those to come.
